Laurie Gerber, a mother of two, saw a need for an errand/concierge service when she first moved out to the suburbs from New York City. “I was confined to the house with an infant, and toddler and it was 20 degrees out.  I needed someone to do my food shopping, pick up the dry cleaning and make frequent trips to Buy Buy Baby for me. I enlisted a relative, but it made me think how many new mothers, busy professionals and senior citizens throughout Bergen County must have the same trouble.”  Thus, Ms. Gerber founded ERRANDGIRLNJ.COM, an errand and concierge service.

For a small fee, ERRANDGIRL will assist clients with daily tasks such as grocery shopping, paperwork, and visits to the post office, pharmacy, video store and bank.  It will also do gift shopping, merchandise returns and meal delivery.

ERRANDGIRL also offers home-waiting services.  An employee will wait for the client’s cable TV installer, contractor or repairman.
